Temple ordinances and covenants give you greater access to God's blessings
Honesty is the first reverence here. The current Go and Do write-head does not yet play a Nephite temple-building record or 1 Nephi 14. A companion that dressed Chapter 25 in white stone and called it the temple would be lying about the map.
What the record does in Go and Do
The closest playable analog remains Chapter 25, The Waters of Mormon: baptismal covenants with named authority. That analog is a beginning of covenant life, not a substitute for temple ordinances the game does not stage.
Quoted Book of Mormon
Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?
